Chance to come away with a nifty 50

tractor_iconThe “NC 10% Campaign” has an online survey  with 50 (as in $50) incentives for those who will take a few minutes to respond to a few questions concerning their habits and preferences as consumers of produce and other commodities from local farms. The cutoff is Thursday, Aug. 6 for getting a survey in the running for the $50 prize.

The CEFS 10% Campaign is coordinated by the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS), which is a joint effort of the SAES and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at N.C. State. The Campaign gets its name from an overriding objective of increasing North Carolina households’ expenditures for locally grown foods to a statewide average of 10 percent. An average household commitment of 10 percent of household food budgets would keep $3.5 billion in the state’s economy.
