Small Farms Resources at NC A&T State University

Food thoughts solicited

info_iconAn online publication, the Journal of Agriculture, Food Systems and Community Development, is inviting commentaries discussing the absence of racial equity and diversity in food systems planning and development, programs that open doors for more minority-owned farmland and related topics for the journal’s summer issue in 2015. Submissions  should be 2,500 words or less (preferably between 1,500 and 2,000) and the deadline is June 15. The Journal of Agriculture, Food Systems and Community Development is supported by Johns Hopkins University, the University of Vermont, the Leopold Center and Kwantlen Polytechnic University in British Columbia. Food Systems and Community Development also has issued a call for papers for a forthcoming issue that will be devoted to “Labor in the Food System from Farm to Table.” The submission deadline for that issue is Sept. 22.
